Services
I provide personal fitness training in the privacy of your home, office or community/apartment complex gym. There are two primary services that I provide:
  • Personal Fitness Trainer: As your personal fitness trainer, I design a custom workout program for you and we meet two or more times per week. As your personal fitness trainer, I provide in-depth exercise instruction while consistently monitoring, and assisting you through each exercise. I also monitor your short term and long-term progress, and adjust your regimen as needed.
  • Personal Fitness Consultant: As your personal fitness consultant, I design a custom workout program and meet with you once a week for one hour to assist in exercise instruction, monitor your progress, and modify your program regimen as needed to meet your goals.

Although each client is unique, and your program is specifically designed for you, some of the more popular programs that I implement are listed below. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience if you have any questions, have special needs, or would like to discuss these in more detail.

Specialized In-Home Training
No time for the gym? Or perhaps that's not your cup of tea? No problem, I can come to you. You don't need to be a member of a health club or gym to get into shape. In fact, being a member to a gym does not guarantee that you will get any healthier. In most cases, I can provide you with personal training and consultation in the comfort and privacy of your home, office, or community/apartment complex gym.

Weight Loss Workouts
The diet industry is making money hand over fist these days, yet how many people are actually losing weight? And more importantly, how many people are keeping it off? I can help take the myth out of weight loss by guiding you through effective, proven workout methods that get results. By working on core, balance, resistance, and reactive techniques to build your neuromuscular efficiency and lean body mass, my weight loss workouts prevent injury as they burn more calories and maintain lean muscle tissue. Best of all, I'll be there beside you every step of the way to help track your progress, and keep you focused on your fitness goals.

Strength and Toning
Maintaining lean muscle mass using resistance training provides myriad health benefits including increased metabolilsm to help burn more calories naturally, increased neural activity and proprioception, increased bone density, joint stability, and more. I utilize a variety of resitance training techniques to guide your body through all planes of motion to ensure your muscles not only work in a concentric (flexing) manner, but also in eccentric (extending), and isometric balance as well. This proven approach to muscle strengthening ensures your muscles, connective tissues, motor units, and bone structure is protected from injury while adapting to increased demands; thus, acheiving the most optimal strength and toning workouts in the shortest amount of time.

Stress Buster Programs
Life today is busier than ever, and as a result, our health can take a toll. Exercise can curb stress and help to avoid it as well. Many fitness trainers believe that if you just sweat enough that you’ll fight stress. Although this holds some truth, it can also lead to increased injury. Stress can ravage muscle tissue from extended hours of involuntary muscle contraction that not only wears down the muscle fibers, but can restrict blood flow to the muscles and delicate connective tissues as well. Even worse, an overactive muscle could be weakening other antagonist (opposing) muscles by what is known as "reciprocal inhibition". Also, one commonly overlooked problem with stress is breathing dysfunction; a known element affecting upper extremity postural distortions and tight musculature (i.e. sore necks, shoulders, headaches, etc.) due to the lack of use of the diaphragm during breathing. Taking all this into consideration, I can help you achieve a workout program to battle stress while avoiding injury at the same time.

RSI Recovery
If your physician has given you the OK to proceed with an exercise program, I’ll be more than happy to help you further on your road to fitness after enduring your repetitive strain injury. I can assist you through self-myofacial release (SMR) and static stretching routines to engage in corrective flexibility and regain your neuromuscular efficiency that’s often lost through RSI conditions. By working on a slow progression, and using careful, industry proven techniques, you can feel safe that injury will be avoided, and you’ll begin to feel better, and appreciate life’s wondrous blessings once again. I too have had an RSI condition, and am quite familiar with not only the physical aspect of these debilitating conditions, but also how it can affect us emotionally as well.

Fitness Assessments
Not everyone is ready to hop onto a treadmill for 30 minutes, nor is everyone ready to start pumping iron like the California Governor. We are all different, have varying medical issues, and are in varying stages of physical stasis. Using established observational and objective procedures I assess each client to see where you are in regards to strength, balance, muscle imbalances, cardio respiratory function, and special medical needs. Using methodologies approved by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, I can assess your fitness readiness and begin your plan on the right foundation. And the assessment does not stop on our first visit. I will track your progress, and help you set and achieve the fitness goals you desire.
